Overview

Driver Hire is one of the UK’s leading specialist recruitment agencies, placing drivers and logistics staff through a network of more than 60 independently owned franchise offices across the UK and Australia, where the network operates as Driver Hire Australia. Each office runs its own day-to-day marketing: managing local listings, responding to reviews, and keeping location information accurate.

Keeping a brand consistent across that kind of decentralized structure is hard. When Driver Hire partnered with PinMeTo in January 2025, the goal was clear: bring the network’s local online presence under one roof, without removing the autonomy that makes the franchise model work.

One year later, the network’s established offices were seen 32% more often in mobile search, direction requests were up 9%, and review response rates had climbed from 54% to 87%.

The Challenge: One Brand, Many Voices

Franchise businesses face a structural tension that centralized companies don’t. Every office has its own ownership history. Staff turn over. Franchises change hands. Over time, this leaves a trail of outdated, duplicate, or inaccessible listings across search and maps platforms, often set up by former employees or previous owners, and difficult to reclaim.

Inconsistent listings across the network

Inaccurate addresses, outdated hours, and missing information frustrated candidates and clients searching locally, and diluted the brand’s visibility in local search results.

No single view of performance

The central marketing team had no way to see where visibility was strong or where listings needed attention across dozens of independently run offices.

Slow review response rates

Franchisees lacked a streamlined way to monitor and reply to feedback across platforms. Barely half of incoming reviews received a response.

Onboarding friction

New franchisees joining the network often inherited existing profiles they hadn’t created and couldn’t easily access.

The central marketing team needed oversight and consistency across the network, without taking control away from individual offices.

The Solution: Central Oversight, Local Ownership

Driver Hire onboarded to PinMeTo in January 2025, with the platform fully live by March 2025. The account structure mirrors the franchise model itself: two Owner-level accounts on the central marketing team hold full network visibility, while each franchisee gets User-level access to manage their own location.

From day one, the platform served two distinct use cases.

For the central team: one dashboard for the whole network

The marketing team monitors search visibility and engagement trends across all 60+ locations without managing each office’s digital footprint individually. The team also proactively optimized listings for franchisees who joined mid-contract, bringing every location to fully optimized “Green” status, even where individual offices hadn’t yet engaged with the platform themselves.

For franchisees: a simpler way to own their local presence

Active users updated business descriptions, uploaded photos, refined listing attributes, and, crucially, began responding to reviews far more consistently than before. Offices that engaged with the platform saw direct improvements in how they appeared in local search and maps results.

The Results

Driver Hire’s network includes two distinct groups: offices with an established online presence when they joined PinMeTo, and offices with no local digital footprint at all. Both tell a compelling story.

Established locations: more visibility, more action

Comparing 2024 (before PinMeTo) with 2025 (after PinMeTo), the impact across Driver Hire’s established offices is clear. Nearly 40,000 more people found the established offices in 2025 than the year before, with total views growing 20% to 236,549, a direct result of improved listing quality and consistency across the network. Mobile search was the biggest driver, up 32%, while desktop maps views rose 44%. Both signal that accurate, optimized listings surface Driver Hire in the moments that matter most: when candidates and clients are actively looking.

Established offices, 2025 vs 2024: total actions up 1.9% to 50,185, direction requests up 8.8% to 19,315, phone calls up 1.2%, website clicks down 4.1%.

More people seeing the listings meant more people acting on them. Total actions passed 50,000, and direction requests rose nearly 9% to 19,315, a strong sign that candidates and clients aren’t just finding Driver Hire online, they’re physically going there. The slight shift away from website clicks reflects a wider trend: searchers increasingly act directly from Google listings rather than visiting a website first.

Reputation

Review response rate climbed 33.6 points, from 53.7% in 2024 to 87.3% in 2025, while the average star rating held at 4.72 out of 5.

The review response rate tells its own story. Franchisees went from replying to roughly half of incoming reviews (53.7%) to nearly nine in ten (87.3%), while keeping the average rating above 4.7 stars. Centralized review management didn’t just save time; it made it easy to stay on top of feedback and protect the brand’s reputation at a local level.

New footprints: what happens when a location becomes findable

Whether a franchise office is newly opened or has traded for years, the outcome without a managed local presence is the same: it’s invisible to anyone searching nearby. No listing on maps. No appearance in local search results. Not because the business isn’t there, but because its presence was never properly claimed, set up, or optimized.

This is more common across franchise networks than most central teams realize. Some locations are genuinely new. Others operated for years but were never set up on local search platforms. And sometimes a listing exists but isn’t controlled by the business at all: auto-generated from third-party data, or left behind by a previous tenant at the same address, showing the public incorrect information the business can’t fix.

In every scenario, the cost is the same: local candidates and clients can’t find you, or worse, find inaccurate information that sends them elsewhere.

Fourteen Driver Hire offices fit this reality. For all of them, PinMeTo was the starting point: every view, impression, and direction request below was generated after their listings were properly created and optimized. There is no “before” to compare against. This is what a well-managed local presence delivers from a standing start, on average per location:

1,455 Total views 526 Total actions 437 Direction requests 23 Phone calls 66 Website clicks

On average, each location has been found over 1,400 times and generated more than 500 direct engagement actions, entirely through organic local search, with no paid promotion.

The power of local intent

The metric that stands out most isn’t how many people found these locations, but what they did next. Direction requests account for 83% of all engagement actions, averaging 437 per location.

That number matters because direction requests represent the highest form of local intent: someone searched, found the listing, and decided to physically navigate there. For an office that previously had no local presence at all, that’s not just visibility. It’s the local community actively choosing to show up.

The sooner a listing is live, accurate, and properly owned, the sooner local search starts working as a continuous, organic acquisition channel, quietly bringing candidates and clients through the door.

What Comes Next

Driver Hire is continuing to grow engagement across the franchise network. The central team sees ongoing opportunity in increasing franchisee adoption and regular platform use, demonstrating the impact of AI-driven local search on visibility and listing accuracy, and using performance data to make the case for broader network participation.

The team is also implementing PinMeTo’s REST API to feed listing and performance data directly into internal CRM and Power BI systems, giving the central team deeper, automated performance tracking across the network.

"Before using PinMeTo, we found it difficult to understand how our offices were performing in local search, despite recognising the importance of local visibility. We can now see the majority of our network's listings in one place, and it gives franchisees greater insight into how maintaining accurate, active profiles can support their local presence."
