About the Overture Maps Foundation
The Overture Maps Foundation is a collaborative, open-source mapping project founded by AWS, Meta, Microsoft and TomTom, under the Linux Foundation. Its goal is to build comprehensive, interoperable and accessible open map datasets that power the next generation of mapping applications around the world.
PinMeTo’s Role in Overture

Key Benefits of the Collaboration
Improved data accuracy. Brand-verified location information reduces mismatches and increases reliability in maps and navigation systems.
Increased brand visibility. Contributing POI data helps brands be more easily discovered across platforms like Facebook, Amazon and TomTom.
Support for open source. This partnership contributes to building open, interoperable infrastructure for maps, supporting transparency and innovation in the mapping ecosystem.
Why it matters. PinMeTo’s contribution sets a new standard in the location marketing industry by providing trusted, brand-sourced data to a global open mapping initiative. This enhances not only visibility for businesses but also the quality of information available to users worldwide.
